You can access Sheer Health through our mobile app or through your browser. Join today and never deal with your health insurance again.

How does Sheer Health work?

Sheer Health securely connects with your health insurance accounts to help you easily understand your benefits and ensure that your claims are accurately processed.

How does Sheer Health make money?

Sheer Health makes money with membership fees, success fees*, partnerships with providers, and more.

*A 10% success fee is collected from our Standard members whenever we put money back in their pocket.

Does Sheer Health share or sell my personal information?

No. Your personal information remains private, secure and is only used to ensure accurate application of your health benefits.

Is my information secure?

Yes; we take the security of our member data very seriously. We are both HIPAA compliant and in the process of a SOC II Security Certification. See our Trust & Security policy here.

Membership

How do I get started?

You can download the Sheer Health app here or register online here.

Once you have an account with at least one connected insurance plan, we will get started on your claims review. You can also submit any questions you have about your health insurance by opening a new case on the app.

Sheer Health’s Standard membership is free, and you can sign up without a credit card. If we put money back in your pocket, we charge 10% of the savings. 

Sheer Health’s Premium membership is $40/month. On Premium, any money we save or get reimbursed for you goes straight back to you.

All of Sheer Health’s features are available on both memberships.

Do you have a free trial period for your Premium subscription?

There is currently no free trial for the Premium unless you are referred through an official Sheer Health partner. All of Sheer Health’s features are available on both membership tiers, so if you want to try us out, we will only charge you if we put money back in your pocket.

How do I see or change my subscription?

You can manage your Sheer Health subscription at any time by clicking the “Manage my subscription” button on the Account page in our app or through your browser.

Insurance

Who can use Sheer Health?

Anyone over the age of 18 who has US-based health insurance can use Sheer Health.

What insurance types does Sheer Health support?

We  support medical, dental, vision, pharmacy and hospital related insurance. We are always working on adding new insurance plans. 

Major insurance plans we currently support include: UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Medicare, UMR, and many regional Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.

Does Sheer Health support Medicare?

Yes, we do. You can connect your Medicare account in our mobile app.

Does Sheer Health support individuals and families?

Yes, we do. Whether you are the primary subscriber or a dependent, you can add connections for your whole family in the mobile app. One Premium membership covers all of your immediate family.  If you would like us to join your and a family member’s account, please open a new support case.

Does Sheer Health work with healthcare providers?

Yes, we do work with healthcare providers. We can support your patients' eligibility checks and out-of-network claim submissions. Send us an email at providers@sheerhealth.com to get in touch, or learn more here.

How will you be able to review all of my past claims?

We securely connect to your insurance portal so there is no need to share all of your claims, EOBs, and authorizations.  If we are missing something, we will let you know.

App Support

Does Sheer Health submit claims?

Yes, Sheer Health submits out-of-network claims. Upload your bills through our app or website. We’ll review the bill for accuracy, work with you for any amendments, and submit it to your insurance.

We’ll also track the progress of your claims and confirm they’re successfully processed.

Reconnecting insurance is taking a long time. What should I do?

We expect most reconnections to take up to 60 seconds. Sometimes, it can take longer depending on several factors. Please be patient during the reconnect process and keep the app open until the reconnection window closes. If you continue to experience issues, please let us know by opening a new support case.

How do I add a family member to my account?

Please open a new support case to add a family member to your account. Your family member should create a Sheer Health account of their own.

Once your accounts are joined, please note that you will see all of each others’ insurance information and cases.

One Premium membership covers all of your immediate family.

Is there a referral code I can send to others?

Yes. You can find your referral link by tapping “Invite a friend” on the home screen of our app or website. We appreciate all of your referrals!

Why is my email sign-in link not working?

Please confirm that you are clicking the sign-in link from the same device which you are using to sign in. This must be the same device which you requested link from.
Also, please confirm you are using the most recent link in your inbox. If the issue persists, reach out to us at help@sheerhealth.com.

How do I connect insurance plans to Sheer Health?

You can connect more insurance plans by tapping on the health tab in our mobile app, then tapping “Add new connection”. You will need to sign in to your insurance portal.

We support medical, dental, vision, pharmacy and hospital connections, and we are adding new options regularly.

Major insurance plans we support include: United Healthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Anthem, Medicare, UMR, and many regional Blue Cross Blue Shield plans.
